Never choose a vet based on how friendly he is toward you and your dog. It is a vet's PHILOSOPHY of medicine that counts. Is he an allopathic vet or a holistic vet? They are not the same.

Nichole Gray:
"Cappy had terribly itching skin, allergies, and ear infections. Numerous trips to the vet just got Cappy hooked on steroid shots and whenever we tried to give him a break from the side effects, his skin broke out again. It was your health program that stopped his itching for good and got him off the steroids for good. Thank you so much for helping us and Cappy."

Allopathic vets respond to virtually every health problem with a drug, medication, or chemical.

Gil Archambeault:
"Our vet has twice misdiagnosed things that were wrong with our dog Custer. It was obvious that I needed to be more involved in Custer's health care than just leaving it up to the vet. Your health program was just what I was looking for. It's perfect for owners who believe in being more informed and more competent about their dog's health care."

Allopathic medicine is fraught with side effects that can be worse than the original health problem.

Lisa Sowders:
"Hi, I downloaded your book and just wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying it. It has taught me more about being a good caregiver when it comes to feeding my dogs. The things in your book are so informative and a lot more information than I ever could receive from my vet. It has also made me be alot more conscious about their health and well-being. I always thought I was doing what was best for them, but your book has really opened my eyes and I appreciate that. I am not one that really enjoys reading these types of books but yours is written in a fun and enjoyable way. It is not stiff or politically correct like some others. I appreciate your writing style."

Holistic vets focus on strengthening your Golden Retriever's immune system so it can do its job of resisting and fighting disease.

Janise Carrera:
"My favorite chapter was the one on choosing the right vet. I would never have thought of all those questions and I have to admit I was shocked when my vet (my former vet now!) bombed them badly. My new vet on the other hand passed with flying colors and now I'm much more confident of my dog's care. All thanks to your ebook."

Holistic vets use the safest and gentlest remedy that will still do the job without adversely affecting other parts of your dog's body, mind, or spirit.

Marcy Prewitt:
"I have read so many health books and websites trying to figure out what was wrong with my dog's skin and digestive system. Your program is the first one I've ever read that gave me the exact steps to follow to get him back on the road to good health. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing me with this helpful ebook, I really appreciate it."

The "Right" Vets and the "Wrong" Vets

NEVER choose a vet based on:

  • how friendly he is
  • how close a drive he is to your house
  • how much his office staff coos over your dog.

Instead, it is a vet's
philosophy of treatment
that counts.

Two different philosophies of veterinary medicine

AVMAThe allopathic philosophy is represented by the American Veterinary Medical Association. AVMA vets practice a type of medicine referred to as allopathic or western medicine.

AHVMAThe holistic philosophy is represented by the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association. Holistic vets practice a type of medicine referred to as holistic or natural medicine.

How allopathic medicine works

The allopathic medical philosophy is based on:

  • drugs
  • medications
  • chemicals

AVMA vets respond to virtually every symptom your Golden Retriever has by offering a drug, medication, or chemical.

The problem is, a living body doesn't respond kindly to foreign substances. It fights back by bringing its immune system forces to bear and trying to "kick out" the foreign substance. This warfare stresses your dog's immune system at the very time it is needed at full strength to fight the actual illness.

In other words,
your dog's immune system,
instead of being able to focus
on the actual illness,
is forced to spend itself fighting the
DRUGS, MEDICATIONS, AND CHEMICALS.

To make matters worse, there are side effects to each drug, medication, and chemical. These side effects are then treated with additional drugs, medications, and chemicals -- which then cause more side effects. And so on.

VeterinariansListen to what Dr. Richard Pitcairn D.V.M. says about allopathic medicine:

"In our eagerness for quick and easy solutions, we seize on a certain drug that may just cover up symptoms without addressing underlying causes. For example, synthetic cortisone is powerful enough to stop a wide variety of symptoms in their tracks, but inside, the disturbance continues unseen. Animals vigorously treated with such drugs (apparently successfully) go on to develop another condition within a few weeks or months. The suppressed disorder has simply gone on to create more serious inroads in the body."

VeterinariansDr. Nino Aloro D.V.M. agrees:

"Sometimes the side effects are worse than the disease. Standard medications have the potential to cause frightening problems with the liver, heart, kidneys, skin, immune system, and digestive tract."

How holistic medicine works

Holistic comes from the word "whole." Holistic vets focus on your WHOLE dog -- his body, mind, spirit, and environment.

Holistic veterinarians...

Seek to PREVENT health problems by building up your Golden Retriever's immune system so that it RESISTS disease.

Holistic veterinarians...

Promote "wellness from within." If a health problem does develop, holistic vets work on supporting the immune system so it can do its job.

Holistic vets do not immediately attack your dog's body with drugs, medications, and chemicals, which would stress his immune system at the very time when he needs it to be at full strength.

Holistic veterinarians...

Use the simplest, safest, and gentlest remedy...

that will still do the job...

without adversely affecting OTHER parts of your dog's body, mind, or spirit.

Holistic vets use medicinal herbs, nutritional supplements, vitamins and minerals, enzymes and antioxidants, chiropractic manipulation, accupuncture, homeopathy, and common-sense supportive care. They resort to antibiotics, steroids, drugs, and chemicals only when there is nothing else that will work.

Holistic veterinarians...

Are qualified to practice BOTH holistic and allopathic medicine. Holistic vets graduate from the same veterinary schools and receive the same licenses and certifications as allopathic vets.

But the holistic vet has undertaken additional training in natural treatments, as well. So a holistic vet is fully qualified to render the same treatments as an allopathic vet -- PLUS the safer and gentler natural treatments that allopathic-only vets know little or nothing about.

You get MORE options
when you use a holistic vet.

Now you're wondering...

  • "How can I tell if a vet is any good?"

  • "How do I recognize an allopathic vet?"

  • "How do I find a holistic vet in my area?"

  • "What should I do if there are no holistic vets in my area?"

  • "How do I work with an allopathic vet if I have to?"

  • "Can I combine allopathic and holistic medicine?"
