Help & FAQ On Ordering and Downloading eBooks
Questions about ordering
Q: How can I be sure I'll be able to read these eBooks?
All you need to read an eBook is a free software program called Adobe Reader. Most computers come with Adobe Reader already installed.

Q: Is it safe to use my credit card over the Internet?
| Yes, you can shop at Your Purebred Puppy with confidence. I use the Authorize.Net Payment Gateway, which protects your sensitive credit card information by encrypting (scrambling) it so it cannot be read by anyone on the Internet. This is state-of-the-art, 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. Your Purebred Puppy is registered with the Authorize.Net Verified Merchant Seal program. |

Q: Which forms of payment do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards, and Paypal.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Can I send you a personal check or money order through the mail?
Yes. When I receive your payment, I will email you the URL for the download page. (Or I'll mail your CD, if that's what you ordered.) Click here for a printable Order Form.

Q: Are your eBooks available as printed books?
No, they are not available as printed books -- only as online downloads or on computer CD.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: If I have a CD burner on my computer, can I back up the eBooks on a CD myself?
Yes. Almost everyone experiences a hard drive crash, computer virus, accidentally deleting files, etc. at one time or another. You should have a back-up system (CD burner or zip drive) on your computer so you can protect your files once you've downloaded them.

Q: Can I print the eBooks?
Yes.
Questions about downloading
Q: What happens after I pay?
It takes only a few seconds to process your payment. If the payment is successful, your personal Download Page will appear on your screen, where you will follow my step-by-step instructions to download your eBook.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How long does the eBook take to download?
It depends on the speed of your connection. Each eBook is 3 to 5 megabytes. With a high-speed connection, each eBook takes only a few seconds to download. With a dial-up connection, it can take up to 15 minutes per book.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: If I have trouble downloading, will you help me?
Yes. Just email me if you have any problems at all. If it turns out that you have a very unusual computer that just can't do a download, I offer a 100% money back guarantee, so there's no risk.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: I lost my Download Page before I could download my eBook. How do I get back to my Download Page without paying again?
Look in your email program. You received two confirmation emails after placing your order. A link to your personal Download Page is included in one of those email messages. (Your Download Page is only good for 72 hours, so you must complete your downloads within 72 hours.)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: I downloaded my eBook, but my computer says "The file is damaged and cannot be repaired".
That means the file got corrupted during the download because your Internet connection didn't "hold" solidly enough for the whole file to download intact.
Once you have a damaged file on your hard drive, your computer won't do another download with the same file name until you've deleted the damaged one. So DELETE the damaged file from your hard drive first. Then download the file again from your personal Download Page. A link to your personal Download Page is included in one of the confirmation emails you received after placing your order.

Q: When I tried to download my eBook, I followed your instructions by clicking my right mouse button on the file name, but the pop-up box didn't appear (or the Save-As option wasn't highlighted).
Try clicking your LEFT mouse button on the link, instead. When you click your LEFT mouse button, many computers will automatically launch Adobe Reader and display the eBook on your screen (depending on the download speed of your modem, this can take some time, because it's a large file).
Caution: The problem with left-clicking is that the eBook only DISPLAYS on your screen -- but it isn't yet SAVED on your computer! To save it, you must go to the top menu in Adobe Reader and click on "File" and then "Save As" and save the eBook to your Desktop. Otherwise, when you close Adobe Reader, your eBook will be GONE.
That's the advantage of clicking your RIGHT mouse button -- you get the gray popup box and the "Save As" dialog box that allows you to download AND save at the same time. If you click the LEFT mouse button, the file downloads, but then you have to remember to do the save manually.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: I downloaded my eBook, but I can't find it on my computer. Where is it?
Check your Desktop first -- that's where I told you to save it. If it's not there, I don't know where you saved it to. Or if you didn't specify anywhere to save it, your computer will have saved it to some default folder on your computer, and I don't know where that might be.
Now you'll have to search for it. Go to your Start menu. Choose "Find" or "Search", then "Files or Folders". In the search dialog box that appears, enter *.pdf and click the search button. The asterisk symbol tells the computer to find ALL the pdf files on your computer. If you can't find it, download it again -- and this time remember to save it to your Desktop.
