An instant download is an e-book, a digital book. You "download" the e-book file onto your computer, which takes only a few minutes (only a few seconds if you have a high-speed connection).

You save the e-book on our computer so you can read it whenever you want to. You read it with a computer program called Adobe Reader, which is probably already installed on your computer. If you don't have it, you can download it for free from the Adobe website.

Or, if you prefer, you can print the e-book out on your printer and read the printed pages.
