Poodles come in all sizes. The smallest size is the Toy Poodle, at less than 10 lbs. Then the Miniature Poodle at around 15 inches and 20-25 lbs.

The third official size is the Standard, which is supposed to include all Poodles over 15 inches, though most Standards are actually 20-24 inches and 50-75 lbs.

If you'd like a smaller Standard (in the 16-20 inch, 25-50 lb range), you can sometimes find a Moyen (French for "middle size"), which is ideal for those who want something bigger than a Mini but not as big or energetic as a typical Standard.

Finally, Royal Standard Poodle is a marketing term applied to very large Standards, typically 26 -28 inches and 60-100 pounds.
