Quick Tips about Maltese
- Maltese Size
- Maltese can weigh from 2 pounds to 12 pounds. The smaller ones are often called Teacup Maltese, Tiny Toy Maltese, or Extreme Tiny Maltese, but these are not different varieties or breeds. They're simply made-up marketing terms designed to lure you into paying high prices for smaller individuals, who are no more "special" than larger individuals.
- Maltese Coat
- Maltese have a long straightish coat, but it can be sheared short for easy grooming and an adorable "perpetual puppy" look.
- Maltese Colors
- Maltese are solid white, or white with light tan or lemon shadings on his ears.
- Maltese Pronunciation
- Related Breeds:
- The Maltese is closely related to the Coton de Tulear, Havanese, Bichon Frise, and Lowchen, so be sure to check out these breeds, too.
