Ordering is easy!
- When you click on the Order Now link at the bottom of this page, you will be taken to a secure server to enter your credit card or Paypal information. Your payment will be verified immediately and a Download Page will appear on your screen. Follow the step-by-step instructions on the Download Page, and in just a few minutes, you will have the Breed Selection Questionnaire and your two free eBooks on your computer. The questionnaire is a simple text file that you can answer with any text editor (like Notepad or Textpad) or word processing program (like Microsoft Word). The eBooks are PDF files that you read with Adobe Reader.
- Answer the 38 questions in the Breed Selection Questionnaire and email it back to me.
- I will review and evaluate your responses and write a Dog Breed Consulting Report with my recommendations of the breeds that I think are the best matches for you. I will send this to you by email. If you're already considering some breeds, I'll also tell you whether or not they seem like good matches for you.
*** Before ordering, be sure you meet these requirements! ***
- There must be an adult home during the day. I do not recommend dogs for people who work all day. Dogs are sociable (pack) animals who need ongoing companionship. Dogs left alone all day are bored and unhappy and likely to bark and chew things up. If you work all day, I recommend a cat or a pair of cats.
- If you have children, they must be over age 6. With younger children, there's no way to predict how any given breed will act with them -- it's more a matter of the individual dog rather than its breed.
- If you have children between ages 6 and 10, you must be looking for a medium or large dog.. Most smaller breeds tend to be either too feisty or too physically/emotionally sensitive, so I'm not comfortable recommending them for children.
- Your yard must have a physical fence. There are no breeds I can recommend who will safely and reliably stay on your property without a physical fence. I do not consider "invisible" (electronic) fences to be reliably safe for dogs.
- You must be looking for an INDOOR dog.
