- Add referral links. Once you have been accepted into our program, we'll provide you with a variety of referral links, which include text, banners, and buttons. Add one or more referral links to your website or blog or social media page. The more people you can encourage to click your link, the more money you'll make. So along with adding the link, I recommend also including a personal review of one or more of my books. When you become an affiliate, I'll give you lots more ideas for encouraging your visitors to click on your affiliate link.
- Get paid. When an individual clicks on one of your referral links and buys a dog book from us, you earn a 25% commission. Even if that person doesn't buy something immediately, but returns to our site within 60 days and buys something, you will still earn a commission, as long as that person has cookies enabled on his computer (because we use cookies to track referrals and sales). You will be paid on the 20th of each month, by check or direct deposit to your bank account.

"Do I have to pay anything to be an affiliate of yourpurebredpuppy.com?"
No. It's FREE.
"Are there any requirements to be an affiliate?"
Yes. You need a website or blog or social media page. Also your site needs to be a good match for us, which is hard to describe, but we'll know it when we see it. Your site needs to be written in English. We reject sites with an abundance of grammatical or spelling errors. We also reject sites with too many advertisements, sites with sexually explicit content, and any site that just doesn't feel right for us.
"Do I need any computer skills to be an affiliate?"
You must be able to "Copy & Paste" the referral linking code and place it on your web page.
"How much money will I make?"
You'll earn a commission of 25% for every successful sales transaction attributed to your referral links. Our dog books sell for $14 to $24, so you'll earn commissions of $3.50 to $6.00. You earn commissions on downloadable ebooks, printed books, and CDs. You don't earn commissions on shipping, handling, or sales tax.
""Can I earn commissions on my own purchases?"
No. Shareasale Affiliate Network is very strict about this. They use advanced fraud-control mechanisms (both automated and manual) to detect affiliates who try to earn money on their own purchases. They will withhold those commissions and terminate you as an Affiliate.
"When and how will I be paid?"
Shareasale Affiliate Network makes payments on the 20th of each month, via Direct Deposit to your bank account or via a check delivered through the regular mail. Payments are made to affiliates who have reached the $50 minimum BEFORE the end of the previous month. For example, if you earn $50 by the end of January, you will be paid those commissions on February 20th. If you did not reach the $50 minimum until sometime in Feburary, you will be paid on March 20th. So your commissions are carried over from month to month, until you accumulate at least $50 and a payment can be issued.
"How do I see reports on my earnings?
You can access your Shareasale affiliate account anytime, 24 hours a day - 7 days a week, using the username and password that you selected when signing up for your account.
"Where do I find the referral links and banners?"
Log on to your Shareasale account and click on Links → Get a Link/Banner → yourpurebredpuppy and you'll find a variety of referral links, which include text, banners, and buttons. Add one or more of these referral links to your website or blog. Also, people are more likely to click on a referral link if you add a personal review of our books.
"Which page on yourpurebredpuppy.com should I link to?"
It's your choice. You'll find links and banners to our home page, to our bookstore, to your favorite dog breed review, to free articles on training and health. You can put as many of those links and banners as you want on your site.
"Can I include referral links on my Facebook or Twitter page?"
Yes.
"Can I include referral links in e-mail messages?"
Yes. If you have an e-mail list, you can tell them about our books and include referral links, as long as the recipients have elected to receive such e-mails. "Spamming" or sending unsolicited e-mails is strictly prohibited. You won't get any referral fees generated through spamming tactics, and you'll be removed from our Affiliate Program. We can't stress that enough....you can't spam.
"Where else can I put referral links?"
Only on your website, blog, or social media page (or an e-mail list if you have permission). You can't put links on newsgroups, chat rooms, ICQ, message boards, banner networks, hit farms, or guestbooks. Sharesale is very strict about this.
"How can I be sure I'll get credit for my referrals?"
Since each link redirects first to Shareasale and then to yourpurebredpuppy, Shareasale is able to match up any sales with the affiliate who caused the action. They do this by using cookies. When a visitor clicks on a referral link on your site, a tiny text file called a "cookie" (completely harmless) is placed on that person's computer. The cookie designates that individual as having been sent from your site. If that person buys something from us, you earn a commission.
"What about customers who don't have cookies turned on in their browser?"
Shareasale's research indicates that nearly 99% of internet users have cookies enabled on their browser. Cookies are an integral part of the web and aid in the creation of e-commerce websites, user-friendly websites, and other customized sites. In the uncommon event that a customer has cookies disabled on their browser, the customer is not available for tracking, and sales cannot be tracked.
"What if I send you a potential customer who doesn't buy a book immediately, but does buy a little later – do I still get credit?"
Yes. If the person buys something within 60 days, you still get a commission! That is, if the cookie is still on that person's computer so Shareasale can recognize him. Some people configure their Internet browsers to delete cookies when they close their browser. The good news is that most people don't delete their cookies.
